Michael R. Thobe

Michael R. Thobe, age 73, of Chillicothe, OH passed away on April 13, 2022, at Adena Regional Medical Center.  He was born on September 23, 1948 in Troy to the late Aloysius J. , Sr. and Volunta L. (Steineman) Thobe. 

He is survived by his sons: Michael Thobe and Chad Thobe; daughter: Heather Thobe all of Chardon; brothers and sisters: Al (Linda) Thobe, Jr. of Piqua; Ann (James) Beyke of Anna; Mary (Dave) Shock of Tipp City; Carolyn (Steve) Wilson of Mason; Cynthia (Mark) Wright of Piqua; Joan (Mike) Gibson of Cummins, GA; Tom (Jeanine)Thobe of Macon, NC; Joe (Tracy) Thobe of Piqua; Nancy (Dan) Jones of Dublin; Julie (Joe) Cogliano of Mt. Laurel, NJ; and sister-in-law: Mary Thobe of Covington; two grandchildren: Zachary Thobe and Allison Thobe.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Dennis Thobe and Robert Thobe; sisters: Margaret Evans and Patricia Thobe. 

Mike was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1967.  He served his country as a US Marine in the Vietnam Combat Operations.  He was employed in construction as a heavy equipment operator.  Mike has donated his corneas to help his fellow man.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00pm with services to follow on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy. Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park in Covington.
