Michael Grant Calicoat

Michael Grant Calicoat, age 68, of Troy, OH, passed away on July 20, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on July 16, 1953 in Troy to Floyd and Margaret “Peggy” (Elleman) Calicoat.

Michael is survived his children: Monte (Lia Price) Calicoat of Cincinnati, OH, Micki Jo (Jason) Hitchcock of Covington, Melissa (Zach) Francis of Troy, Michala (Tyler) Harris of Troy, and Mikey (Sam Johnston) Calicoat of Troy; grandchildren: Zach Hitchcock, Zoey Hitchcock, Austin Francis, Alexa Hitchcock, Kaige Calicoat, Blake Calicoat, Konor Getter, Brayden Calicoat, Colton Calicoat, Michael Harris, and Bentley Calicoat; and a great grandchild: AJ Hitchcock. He was preceded in death by his wife: Karen Calicoat and brother: Tim Calicoat.

Michael was on The Ohio State University Gymnastics team before becoming an owner and coach of Rainbow Gymnastics Academy and Sports Training Center. He loved baseball and football, old western movies, and rock music. He coached little league football and baseball. Michael attended First United Church of Christ in Troy.

Services will be at 1PM on July 29, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. The family will receive friends from 11AM-1PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
