Max V. Stubbs

Max V. Stubbs, age 81, of Troy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his four daughters on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Randall Residence in Tipp City.  He was born on June 3, 1940 in Marion, IN to the late Mary (VanTyle) Striewe. 

Max was preceded in death by his wife: Pamila Sue “Pam” Stubbs.  Max is survived by daughters: Angela Weidle of Avon, Michele (Jeff) Havens of Urbana, Brandy (Steve) Reindel of Troy and Nikki Lavender of Medina; nine grandchildren: Kyle (Andi) Vanover, Joshua Pickering, Taylor Havens, Shelby Havens, Jessica (Jason) Lehnhoff, Zachry Foreman, Madelynn Lavender, Briana Lavender and Cooper Lavender; as well as five great-grandchildren: Noah Lehnhoff, Callie Lehnhoff , Gavin Pickering, Aubree Pickering and Charli Jo Vanover.

Max was a loving father and grandfather.  He was an active member of St. Patrick Church and Assumption Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  In 1982, Max was the General Chairman for the Strawberry Festival in Troy.  Max was a member of Knights of Columbus and was very active in Troy Elks BPOE #833.  Max was a proud member of the US Army National Guard.  Max enjoyed playing golf.  He retired in 2002 from McCormick after 36 years of service. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.  Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  Elks Lodge of Sorrow Service will be held at 7:00 PM following the visitation.
