Lonnie Gibson

Lonnie Gibson, age 68, of Troy, OH passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH.  He was born on March 1, 1952 in Eagan, TN to the late Harvey and Hallie (Hurst) Gibson.  He was married to Betty Jane (Pryor) Gibson and she preceded him in death on June 22, 1999.

He is survived by sister and brother-in-law: Jane and Gary Kiser of Troy; brother and sisters-in-law: Charles and Ruth Gibson of New Carlisle and Earlrita Gibson of Troy and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by brother: Roy Gibson and sister and brothers-in-law: Ruth and Wayne Balding and Bob Loy.

Lonnie was a 1971 graduate of Troy High School and attended Sinclair College.  He was formerly employed with Hobart Brothers Company and currently with Hobart Cabinet Company.  He was an avid Star Trek fan and loved animals, especially his cats.

A family service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM – 12:00PM at the funeral home.  Interment will take place in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH.
