Letha Corrine Eggers Smith Letha Corrine Eggers Smith, age 78, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at her residence. She was born on June 24, 1933 in Waverly, Ohio to the late Robert Ruel and Amy Carr Eggers. She was married to William H. Smith and he preceded her in death in 2003. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Donita Jo and Steve Zechar of Troy and Robin Rue Meiring of Piqua, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Martin David and Wendy Blechinger of Lakeview, Ohio; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eunice and Gary Evilsizor of Troy and Kathleen Ford of Tipp City, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Kenny Brandt, Robert and Jennifer Meiring, Jeffery Henneke, Storm, Jessica, David, and Samantha Blechinger and Lucas Shaffer; and twelve great-grandchildren: Lacey Hinkle, Larissa and Kayleigh O'Connor, Justin, Rebekah, and Noel Meiring, Bright and Braiden Blechinger, Emme Blechinger, and Eric, Justin and Amy Brandt. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Victoria Eggers of Kiser Lake and Toshika Eggers of Clarksville, Tennessee; and her favorite nephew, Jim Bob Erwin. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Francis Blechinger; three brothers, Glen, Jim, and Clifford Eggers; and one grandchild, Chad Cosco. She was a member of Troy Baptist Temple and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, listening to her favorite hymns and Bible reading and she loved her dogs. Funeral services will be held at 12Noon on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor David Mulvaine officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
