David & Family, please except our deepest condolences. Having Jo & Luther as our neighbors was something we have missed. We spent a lot of time "talking over the fence". Your mom always took the time to pet our puppies & tell them hello when she was out tinkering in the yard. We had so much fun sitting in the dining room with Luther's Citadel yearbooks laid out while he sat there humbly listening to your mom gush over him & his football days & years of service! They were truly special people & we miss them both.

I had the privilege of working with Joan at Hobart Corporation and later Joe and I became neighbors of Jo and Lu. Both were truly kind and loving people. The world would be a better place if more people were like the two of them.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. Joan always made us feel like family and we will miss her but remember her with much love.

I was a neighbor of Jo and Lu for many years on Shaggy Bark. Jo referred to herself as "Grandma Jo" to my daughter, Stacy, and would take her shopping for her birthday. I have many fond memories of Jo and Lu and the kindness they always showed. I remember their dog, Heidi, and how Stacy and another little neighbor girl like to pet her. (I still have that picture) When Jo turned 55, Peggy, another neighbor, and I put a large 55 sign on their garage door, so anyone who drove past would know Jo turned 55.

After Jo moved from Shaggy Bark I would often think I would go see her, but never seemed to find the time. How I regret that now. So anyone who reads this please take time to see an old friend or neighbor and let them know you care about them and share some memories. Jo was one of kind and will certainly be missed by all who knew her. She was a grand lady.

Thanks Lois. Those years with you as neighbors were some of the best for mom and dad. I know they enjoyed them
