Jay A. Comer

Jay A. Comer, age 56, of Casstown, OH passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2022.  He was born on September 17, 1965 in Troy to Dick Comer of Casstown and the late Sandra Sue Comer.

In addition to his father, he is survived by three children: Lindsey M. Owens; Bradley J. Comer and Makenzie L. Comer all of Troy; granddaughter: Blakely Owens of Troy; brothers and sisters: Jeffery S. (Brenda) Comer of Christiansburg; Jodi L. (Tony) Echeman of Carlinville, IL and Janelle A. Comer of Carlinville, IL and his fiancé: Elena Kennard of Casstown.

Jay was a 1983 graduate of Miami East High School.  He attended Casstown United Methodist Church.  He loved all sports and especially his favorite teams: Ohio State Buckeyes and Kansas City Chiefs.  He enjoyed hunting, morel mushroom hunting and fishing with family and was always a jokester.  He worked as a farmer and was a union plumber and pipefitter.  He belonged to the Pipefitters Union #162.

Services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with interment to follow in Casstown Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00AM – 1:00PM.
