Gregory Lee Oliver

Gregory Lee Oliver, age 72, of Troy, OH passed away on August 30, 2023 at Ohio State University Hospital.  He was born on December 15, 1950 in Covington, KY to the late Othar Lee Oliver, Jr. and Susan (Payne) Dalton.   

Gregory is survived by his wife: Linda (Benning) Oliver of 53 years; aunt: Pauline Oliver; brother: John Oliver; sister: Vicki Golden.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Donald Dalton; sister: Patricia Lynn Jones.

He was a member of the Troy Eagles # 971 and participated in a D&D group for many years. He was a retired computer consultant and loved Marvel comics and scuba diving.  He grew up in Berea KY and lived in the Philippines and other Air Force bases. Gregory had a liver transplant in 2011 and considered every day after that a gift. 

Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30PM on Friday.  Interment will take place at Miami Memorial Park after the service.  Memorial contributions may be made in Gregory’s name to donor’s favorite charity.
