Gloria M. Plant

Gloria M. Plant, age 95, of Troy, passed away on October 28, 2023 at StoryPoint in Troy.  She was born on August 31, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Sylvester Casper and Melsine (Heinlein) Dell.

She is survived by her children: Brian Plant, Diane (Phil) Cline and Laurie (Bill) Neal; son-in-law: Kurt (Crista) Olson; grandchildren: Jennifer Olson, Steven (Lara) Olson, Kevin (Stephanie) Olson, Allison (Ryan) Sevigny and David Cline; great grandchildren: Layla, Nora and Paige Olson; and sister: Audrey Harvey and sister-in-law: Teri (Carl) Valeri.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years of marriage: Raymond A. Plant; her daughter: Pamela Olson; brothers: Earl Dell, Clifford Dell and Sylvester (Neva) Dell.

Gloria was a stay-at-home mom, who made everything special and fun for her family.  She had a big personality, a great laugh and a big heart.  Gloria was always doing for others.  She was an avid bridge player and loved music and dancing.  In her later years, Gloria enjoyed playing cards, board games, taking walks, reading and watching movies.  She mostly loved spending time with her family.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Baird Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
