Earl Franklin Burley, age 78, of Troy, OH passed away at Hospice of Miami County on March 16, 2023. He was born on May 11, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH to the late Hiram and Kathryn (Diehl) Burley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Michael Burley.
Earl is survived by his wife of 58 years of marriage: Carol (Ashman) Burley; three children: Lynne (Hugh) Diver of Nashville, TN; Lisa (Tom) Fauber of Athens, OH and Nathan Burley of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren: Sean and Tommy Diver of Nashville, TN and Brandon and Jenelle Fauber of Athens, OH.
Earl was a 1962 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He received his Bachelors from Capital University and a Masters from University of Phoenix online. He was an instructor at Edison State Community College, Wright State University and Wittenberg University. Earl was formerly employed with DAP, Inc. in Tipp City and retired from P&G in Dayton.
Earl was a member of the McKendree Chapel and a former member of Troy Kiwanis. He was a Troy Strawberry Festival Chairman and the 1st Parade Chair. He was a true OSU Fan and a dedicated Browns Fan along with his love for fishing and spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at McKendree Chapel, 2025 Dayton-Brandt Road, Troy. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Scott T. Kisker officiating.
