Douglas Lee Ray

Douglas Lee Ray, age 79, of Troy, OH passed away on March 11, 2023 at StoryPoint of Troy.  He was born on January 4, 1944 in Dayton, OH to the late Charlie and Gladys (Cain) Ray.

Doug is survived by his wife of 55 years of marriage: Linda L. (Shell) Ray; son and daughter-in-law: Stephen and Tonya Ray of Milton, FL; daughter and son-in-law: Angela and Joshua Kocevar of Tipp City; five grandchildren: Kameron Douglas Kocevar, Joshua Logan Kocevar, Joseph Douglas Ray, Samuel Edward Ray and Elizabeth Ann Ray and brother: Ronald C. Ray of NC.

Doug served in the US National Guard for six years.  He was a Vice President with Dolly Toy for over 20 years.  He was a member of the TLC church in Troy.

He loved fishing, hunting, spending time on the beach and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes.  He also loved woodworking and was an artist in his wood designs. Doug was an avid exercise enthusiast and enjoyed participating in sports.  He always enjoyed his ice cream regularly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy followed by a service at 7:00PM with Pastor Chris Daum, officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made in Doug’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
