Dorothy R. (LeVeck) George

DOROTHY R. (LEVECK) GEORGE, age 69, of Springfield, formerly of Troy, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Springfield Regional Medical Center.  She was born on November 21, 1951 in Troy to the late James and Doris (Cypher) LeVeck.  She married Steven L. George and he preceded her in death on August 28, 2019.

Dorothy is survived by three children: Christopher George, Jennifer George (Heather) and Helen George (Paula); and one grandchild: Jayden George.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother: Lance LeVeck.

Dorothy was a graduate of Troy High School.  She received her Associates Degree from Clark State Community College in Social Work.  Dorothy worked for many years at Clark County Children’s Services.  She enjoyed crocheting and feeding Turbo all her scraps!  Dorothy was a caretaker.  She took care of her family, grandmas, aunts, uncles, parents, husband, etc.  She also took care of families in her community when she worked.  She touched so many lives.
