Dale B. Brewer, Sr.

Dale B. Brewer, Sr., age 84, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at his residence.  He was born on September 23, 1938, in Bethel Township, OH, to Byron H. and Clara (Davis) Brewer. 

Dale is survived by his wife of 64 years: Nancy Ann (Spencer) Brewer; three sons: Dale B. Brewer, Daniel J. Brewer and Dennis G. Brewer, all of Troy; one brother: Galen Lee (Cheryl) Brewer of Lewisburg; one sister: Marilyn Lightner of Greenville; grandchildren: Matthew V. Brewer of FL, Dennis “Glen” Brewer of Troy, Gregory Brewer of IN, Justin Kessler of Troy and Kayla Brewer of Troy; and great grandchildren: Peyton Brewer and Leighton Brewer.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Donald Brewer, Jerald Brewer, David Brewer and Rollie Brewer.

Dale was a member of Troy View Church of God.  He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy.  Dale was active in Boy Scouts of America and coached kids in Bowling at both Sherwood Lanes and Troy Bowl for over 40 years.  He retired from Dinner Bell in Troy and was an over-the-road truck driver for over 30 years.  Dale loved fishing, bowling and he never met a stranger.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Dan Cain officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Vandalia.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
