Claire Monserrat Jackson

Claire Monserrat Jackson, age 45, of Troy, OH, passed away at her residence on August 26, 2021. She was born on December 4, 1975 in Troy to David and Magdaline (Guarnero) Jackson.

In addition to her parents, Claire is survived by her sisters: Kim (Mike) Kazmaier of Casstown and Kaitlynn (Rusty) Tyree of Troy; nieces and nephews: Ian and Dio Ellis, Oraura Line, and Cameron, David, Lyric “Booba,” and Aiden Tyree; aunts Irene Manly and Su McKenzie; and several cousins. Claire was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Linda Garcia and Benny Guarnero; paternal grandparents Chris (Bernell) Jackson; and aunts and uncles: Tony Guarnero, Racheal Wilson, and Pat (Cliff) DeHaven.

Claire earned her associate degree from OIP&T and was pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Antioch University. She was a published author, with works of fiction and poetry to her name. She was also a successful entrepreneur and freelance writer who was well liked and respected by her colleagues and clients.

Claire’s wit was unmatched, as was her gift for elaborate, sometimes hilariously obscure puns. She was off-the-charts intelligent and spoke Latin as though it was an everyday language, yet could meet anyone at their level without ever making them feel self-conscious. She effortlessly made everyone around her feel loved, valued and appreciated.

Claire is deeply loved and will be fiercely missed by her family and numerous friends around the world.
