Betty Kay Grubbs

Betty Kay Grubbs, age 71, of Punta Gorda, Florida; formerly of Tipp City passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 of COVID in Cape Coral Hospital. She was born on January 7, 1950 in Atlanta, Texas to the late Charles and Elizabeth Boothe.

Betty is survived by her daughter: Lisa (Doug) Supinger; step children: Dave (Penny) Grubbs; Bret Grubbs; and Janie Leanorda; grandchildren: Jordan (Beth) Hamlin; Victoria (Derrick) Hamlin; Leah (Bruce) Hamlin; Dustin Grubbs; Derek Grubbs; Joe Price; Tiffany (Nick) Hamilton; David Grubbs, Jr.; and Brittany (David) Gostomasky; great grandchildren: Logan Grubbs and Carter Sizemore; and was joyfully anticipating a great grandson in July; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; many cousins; many precious and special friends and church members she held close to her heart!  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Marion H. Grubbs whom she married in New Paris, Ohio on January 9, 1971 and who passed on April 10, 2012.

Betty graduated from Bright Star High School in Dodridge, AK in 1968. She attended Red River Vocational Tech in Hope, AK in secretarial science.  Betty lived in Sidney for 20 years and worked for Copeland Corp. as an executive secretary, she also lived in Crossville, TN for 24 years where she retired from the hospital as a medical transcriptionist; and lived in Tipp City, Ohio where she worked at Upper Valley Internal Medicine for Dr. Ronal Manis Jr.

When Betty lived in Crossville, TN, she was a very active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Once she moved to Tipp City, OH, she became a very active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.  Betty truly loved her Lord.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 7:00 PM at Baird Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM.  A procession to Shelby Memorial Gardens in Sidney will start at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 24 at Baird Funeral Home.
