Obituary

William E. Wagonrod, 79, of Troy, Ohio, died at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday, December 10, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eva Jacobs Wagonrod; three daughters and sons-in-law: Rev. Bill and Eve Simms; Bob and Treva Alexander and Ernie and Billie Sue Schaefer; brother, James Wagonrod and a sister, Janice Mosgrove; one granddaughter, Jennifer Flinn Anderson, two great grandchildren, Katie Doseck and Brady Anderson; six step grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren and seven step great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esta and Carol Sullivan Wagonrod, two grandchildren, David and Dawn Flory, two sisters and three brothers. Mr. Wagonrod was a member of First United Methodist Church of Troy, Ohio; 50 year member of Troy Eagles #971; Past Worthy President of Troy Eagles #971 and served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a 1942 graduate of Van Wert High School, Van Wert, Ohio. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, December 12 at Baird Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at First United Methodist Church. Troy Grandmothers Club and Eagles Lodge services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening and VFW services at graveside on Friday. A service will be at 10:00AM Friday, Decmeber 13 at First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio with Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II and Rev. Bill Simms officiating. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio or to donor's favorite charity.
