William Clinton "Bill" Stone William Clinton "Bill" Stone, age 69, of Troy, Ohio, loving husband, father and grandfather, became an Angel in heaven on November 1, 2010 at the Ross Heart Hospital at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born on September 24, 1941 in Alcony, Ohio to the late Carl and Harriet Helvie Stone. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Brown Stone; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Rhonda Stone of Troy, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law: Mary and Jeffery Baker of Pleasant Hill, Ohio and Melanie and Jerry Hicks of Vandalia; eight grandchildren: Kirk and Heather Phelps of Puyallup, Washington, Alyssa Stone, Josh Shetterly, Ashley Frey, Sarah Phelps, Aaron Stone, Jenna Stone and Anna Baker; and two sisters and a brother-in-law: Beverly Tilton and Shirley and Gene Smith both of Deland, Florida. Bill was a 1960 graduate of Miami East High School. Due to his love of bowling, he became an active youth bowling coach for 42 years. Throughout those 42 years, he saw his youth bowlers accomplish many things. He coached Troy's Best for 42 years; he was the Troy High School bowling coach for a brief time; he was a YABA Bowling Association board member for many years and he loved helping his grandchildren become better bowlers. He was a USBC Bronze Level Certified Coach. Bill was also a Little League baseball coach and loved and followed the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a member of the Stetsun Square Dance Club, Troy. He worked as a tool and die machinist for Bendix, Dayton, Ohio for 35 years and retired from American Precision Company of Troy. Services will be held at 7:00PM on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Todd Brown officiating. Friends may call from 3-7PM on Friday at the funeral home.
