William A. "Bill" Snyder Jr. YORKTOWN-William A. "Bill" Snyder Jr., 92 passed away March 18th, 2011 at the Waters of Yorktown in Indiana following a brief illness. Bill was born in Evanston, IL on August 16th, 1918 to his parents, William A. and Marie Katherine LaFever, Snyder. He lived in Dayton, Troy and Tipp City, Ohio most of his life, later moving to Yorktown, Indiana near his daughter. Bill was a training officer in the United States Army during WWII. He was the personnel director for 35 years at Hobart Manufacturing Co. Kitchen Aid in Troy, OH. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy and also attended the Yorktown United Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Alan Snyder, wife-Nancy of Greensboro, GA. Two daughters; Sue Hood, husband-Michael of Mandura, Australia and Carol Spangler, husband-Tim of Yorktown, IN. Six grandchildren; Chad, Jason and Kyle Spangler, Julie and Elizabeth Snyder and Jennifer Williams. Eight great grandchildren; Braxton, Jordan, Kameron, Zachary, Mya, Sierra, Taryn and Nathan Spangler, Keenan and Jack Williams. Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marie Schneider, Snyder and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Theron Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City, Ohio. Friends may call from 12 noon to 1:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all of his special caregivers during his illness. Memorials may be made to the Yorktown United Methodist Church or the First United Methodist Church, 110 W.
