William Brian Shepard William Brian Shepard, age 55, of Casstown, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born on September 30, 1954 in Troy, Ohio to William Bruce Shepard of Casstown and the late Mary Elizabeth Hanson Shepard. His wife, Marianne Harvey Shepard, survives. Other survivors include his son, William Brock Shepard and fiance, Shannon Combs of Dayton; daughter, Allison B. Shepard and fiance, Gregory Thomas of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky; stepson, Joshua J. Norton of Troy, Ohio; sisters, Diana Bob Deel of Christiansburg, Ohio, Suzanne Floyd of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lynn Don Imlay of Westerville, Ohio, Elizabeth Duane Putnam of Washington DC; brother George Wendy Shepard of Troy, Ohio; grandson, Cameron D. Thomas; nieces and nephews: Andrea Thielman, Brandon Deel, Shep Floyd, Jenny Floyd, Benjamin Imlay, Alex Putnam, Kyle Shepard and Ashley Shepard; and great-nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his mother, Brian was preceded in death by one brother, Christopher Shepard. He was a 1973 graduate of Miami East High School, attended Miami University and graduated from Wright State University. He held multiple brokerage and commodity licenses. Brian was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy. He was Past Master in 1983 at Mt. Olivet Lodge in Christiansburg. He was also a Master Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Antioch Shrine Temple. He was a graduate of Leadership Troy. He was a former grain elevator operator at Shepard Grain Company a position he loved with a passion - knowing that the farmer is the salt of the earth. He was a former securities advisor with Prudential Securities, Fifth Third Bank, AG Edwards, and Chase Bank. Currently, he was employed with Meijer Distribution Center. Brian donated his body to Wright State University for medical research. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church, Troy with Rev. David Leckrone and Rev. Mark Atterholt officiating. Family will receive friends following the service at the church.
