William H. ''Bill'' Smith, 77 died at his residence on Monday, November 10, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, LethaEggers Smith; daughters and sons-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Billie Judy Vance of Piqua, Ohio; Patsy Gambill of Lena, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Steven Donita Zechar of Troy, Ohio and Mr. & Mrs. Darrell Robin Meiring of Troy, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Martin D. Nicole Blechinger of Lakveview, Ohio; sisters and brothers-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. David Joann Lear; Mr and Mrs. Donald Ruth Stotler; Mr and Mrs. Jerry Esther Fitzpatrick; brother and siter-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Larry Helen Smith of St. Paris, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Lester, Jerry and Jim Smith; sister, Margaret Sise and one daughter, Mary Manning. Mr. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church of Covington, Ohio. He retired from ODOT after 30 years on Road Maintenance. He retired from Troy Daily News as a rural paper carrier. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 Thursday, November 13, 2003 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with a service at 2:00 Thursday. Pastor Cliff Christman will officiate. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, Ohio or First Baptist Church, Covington, Ohio.
