William Thomas Christie II, 89, of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020 at his residence. He was born on October 17, 1930 in Fairmont, WV to the late Floyd Templeton and Garnet Ruth (Wilson) Christie.

William is survived by his sister: Jane Christie Riggs; daughter: Deborah Ruth (Christie) Krehmeier; son: Charles Michael Christie; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and is loved by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years: Patricia Ann (Gallo) Christie; sisters: Anna Satterfield, Kathleen Pachuta, Alice Dye, and Rose Sleeth; son: William Thomas Christie III; and grandson: William Thomas Christie IV.

William enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, his family at home and family at K's Restaurant. He was a machinist and toolmaker for BF Goodrich for 30 years, a baseball coach, a Mason, and friend to many.  He served in the US Army as a mathematician, starred as a football halfback for Fairmont West High School and for the undefeated Fairmont State University in the 1950's.

A private memorial will be held at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, Ohio on Monday, September 28, followed by a graveside service attended by immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to the American Lung Association of Ohio SW: 4050 Executive Park Dr, #100, Cincinnati, OH 45241.
