William E. "Billy D." Dickensheets, age 70, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Upper Valley Medical Center ER.  He was born on August 12, 1951, in Troy to the late Thomas E. and Barbara B. (Kessler) Dickensheets.

Bill is survived by one son: William E. Dickensheets II of Troy, OH; one stepdaughter: Sandra Getter of Troy, OH; one sister: Tomala Shaeffer of Troy, OH; two brothers: Timothy (Linda) Dickensheets of Columbia, SC, and Dennis Dickensheets of Columbus, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was a 1970 graduate of Troy High School.  He attended Urbana University and Assumption College.  Bill was a member of First United Church of Christ in Troy, OH.  He was co-owner of B & D Turf Services.  Bill was an avid golfer and OSU sports fan.  In his earlier years, he was also an avid softball player.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, OH.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Troy, OH.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
