William E. ''Bill'' Schwarz, age 71 of Troy and formerly of Piqua died Friday, May 23, 2003 at the Koester Pavilion, Troy. He was born of the late, Ralph and MargueriteJay Dean. Survivors include children, Cindy Briggs; Zoe Darner and Dan Schwarz; sisters, Di-Anne Rice; Betty Criner; Pat Rank and Debbie Slough and brother, Sam Dean; Four grandchildren and one great-grandchild and special friend, Marilyn Jeffers. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Dean and sisters, Carol Baker and Vicki Dershem and one grandson. He was a member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church and a Korean War Veteran. He retired after 27 years of service with BF Goodrich Company. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
