WILLIAM E. "BILL" KNISLEY, age 57, of Troy passed away on June 30, 2014 at his residence. He was born on January 8, 1957 in Wilmington, OH to the late William E. and Olive (Yonker) Knisley. His wife of 9 years, Sherrie (Brown) Knisley, survives. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by two children and their spouses: Brian and Ann Knisley of New Carlisle, OH and Becky and Alan Elovitz of Centerville, OH; two stepchildren: Zachariah Dixon of Springfield, OH and Joshua Dixon of Muncie, IN; seven siblings and their spouses: Enze Knisley of Greenfield, OH, Fred and Cathy Knisley of St. Paris, OH, Roy and Jana Knisley of Washington Court House, OH, Mary Elzey of Bloomingburg, OH, Margaret and Barth Elzey of Washington Court House, OH, Carol and Ervin Baldwin of London, OH, Lola and Stanley Mercer of Washington Court House, OH, Rosalea and Jim Noble of London, OH, Debra and Dana Herman of New Holland, OH and Lora Knisley of Washington Court House, OH; one brother-in-law: Ralph Strahler of Greenfield, OH; four grandchildren: Zachariah, Samuel and Joseph Dixon of Troy, OH and Brandon Knisley of New Carlisle, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Saundra Strahler. Bill attended Miami Trace Schools. He rode motorcycles with the Patriot Guard. Bill was employed by Dayton Reliable Tool Medical in Vandalia. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Richard Workman officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
