Bill went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2018.  He was the youngest of 6 born on November 29, 1959 to Ray and Della (Plantz) Garman.  His siblings included Betty Garman, Bob Garman, Mary & Don McLaughlin, Carol & Bill McDonald, and Carla Garman.  He graduated from Miami East and married his high school sweetheart Sandy (Alexander) Garman on July 1, 1978.  Their children include Brooklyne and Joshua Grissom, Billy Garman and Fiance' Andrea Frantz.  Bill is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill worked at Hartzell Propeller in Piqua for 21 years balancing blades.  He enjoyed his work and considered his friends at Hartzell to be family.  He sold custom designed Heckaman Homes at R&R Design.  Bill loved serving and helping others.  He was a Cub Scout leader for his son's Pack 291 and Boy Scout leader for Troop 365.  They spent many weekends together going on camping trips.  He was an indoor soccer coach at the Troy Rec, treasurer for the Miami County Antique Power Association, deacon and youth leader at Stillwater Community Church and later a member of First Baptist, where he enjoyed working with maintenance and repair needs.  Bill never met a stranger and loved spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed camping, boating, riding his scooter, and traveling.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 4-8 PM at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 10:00AM at Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Cornett officiating.  Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery.
