William Joseph "Bill" Deters, age 78, of Casstown, OH passed away on August 6, 2023, at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.  He was born on April 28, 1945 in Dayton, OH to the late William Harry and Annabel (Slyder) Deters.

Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years of marriage: Donna Marie (Cox) Deters; daughter and son-in-law: Dawn and David DeMartino of San Antonio, TX; son and daughter-in-law: Adam and Teri Deters of Chatham, NJ; grandchildren: Hali Deters and Marissa Deters and brother: Norman Deters of New Lebanon, OH.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Frances Deters, John Deters and Sheryll Caverlee.

He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 – 1969.  He was a member of the AmVets Post #88, Troy.  Bill was employed as an Electrician with the Inland Division of General Motors.

A Gathering will be held in honor of Bill's 78 years of life and 59 years of marriage on September 5, 2023 from 3:00-6:00PM at the Elizabeth Township Community Center, 5760 Walnut Grove Road, Troy.
