Willard R. ''Bill'' Hawkins, 74, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1929 in Randolph County, Indiana to the late H. L. and Rozetta Arrasmith Hawkins. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Isabel Sundrup, whom he married September 1, 1947. Also his two children survive; Son and Daughter-in-law: Thomas H. and Mary Hawkins of Troy, Ohio and Daughter and Son-in-law: Dottie Haulman and Ted Miller of Troy, Ohio. Also sisters; Ruby Mikels of Troy; Ethel Wilkin of Sidney; Annabel Black of Piqua; Rosie Foles of New Carlisle, and one brother, Clarence Hawkins of Seaman, Ohio. Also sisters-in-laws: Eunice Hawkins of Mowrystown, Ohio; Helen Hawkins of Hillsboro, Ohio; Athena Hawkins of Troy, Ohio. He has two grandchildren; Jeffrey Haulman and Jennifer Monnin and her husband, Steve; stepgrandchildren, Aaron Miller and his wife, Nancy and Anthony Miller. Great-Granddaughter; Christina Monnin; Stepgreatgranddaughter, Katelyn Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Willard R. Hawkins II; brothers, Otis, Omer, Harley, Orval and Howard Hawkins and a sister, Mae Workman. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy; Troy Elks Lodge #833; Troy Lions Club and Troy Fish and Game Club. He was retired Owner of Hawkins Machine Shop, Troy, and an employee from 1960-1968 with the former Irvin and Deeter-Baird Funeral Home. There will be special services; an Elks Lodge of Sorrow Service; at 7:45PM Sunday and Rosary Service at 8:00PM Sunday at the funeral home.
