Obituary

Wesley C. Aymett, age 89, of Troy died Friday February 10, 2017 at Troy Genesis Center. He was born on November 6, 1927 in Lynnville, TN. the youngest of three children to the late Thomas and Ada Ruth (Williams) Aymett. He married Loretta Zimmerman and she preceded him in death in 2005.

Wes was a hardworking man who enjoyed a sense of humor.  He was employed as a gas engineer for DP&L for over 40 years in Fairborn, Xenia, Dayton and Troy. His heart and soul was his service as a minister and rector of the New Apostolic Church Springfield congregation. Those who knew him knew him as a man who would give the shirt off his back and invited so many to share his table. Church was our family.

He is survived by his daughter: Debbie Wollam and granddaughter: Katie Wollam both of Troy; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Ray Hwang and Tommy Pierce. In addition to his parents and his spouse, Wes was preceded in death by his sister: Maureen Fleischer; brother: Charles Aymett; and son-in-law: Daniel Wollam.

Funeral services will be held Thursday February 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the New Apostolic Church, 696 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek 45434 with the Rev. Mark Jauss officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle.
