WAYNE EDGAR LEWIS

WAYNE EDGAR LEWIS, age 72 of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Koester Pavilion in Troy.  He was born in Troy on May 16, 1942 to the late John Hitchcock and Helen Edna (Harrison) Lewis.  Wayne was married to Carol (Cogler) Lewis and she preceded him in death in 1992.

Wayne is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Steven Lewis of Troy, OH, Brian and Carol Lewis of West Milton, OH and Scott and Julie Lewis of Lock Port, IL; and one granddaughter: Carol Diane Lewis of Lock Port, IL.  In addition to his wife and parents, Wayne was preceded in death by brothers: Leon Lewis and Arthur Lewis; and sisters: Edna Lewis, Phyllis Ashworth, Beatrice Voggan and Irene Conard.

Wayne attended Lighthouse Holiness Church in Troy, OH.  He repaired semi trailers for several companies in Chicago.  Wayne was a coin collector and loved riding his scooter around the neighborhood near his home in Troy, OH.  Wayne proudly served his country as a member of the US Army for 4 years.
