Wayne Hopper, age 86, of Troy, OH passed away on July 25, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center.  He was born on August 18, 1938 in Winchester, KY to the late Cecil and Polly Lee (Counts) Hopper.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years of marriage: Sharon Leora (Wendland) Hopper; six children: Tamara Hopper of Dayton, Vicki Smith of West Milton, Janine Lee Flick of Hamilton, Sherelyn Miller (Richard) of Minster, Dwight R. Whaley (Trulina) of Mansfield and Leo Edwin Whaley of Troy; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Wayne was a 1956 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School.  He also attended two years of college in Dayton, OH and received his Bachelors of Science Degree at Miami Jacobs Career College.  He served in the United States Air Force.  Wayne retired from Western-Southern Life.  He loved mowing grass, fishing and hunting.

A private service will be held at a later date.
