Warren Lee Beeson, age 87, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 3:21AM on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born on May 5, 1921 in Miami County, Ohio, to the late J. Howard and Birdie Brenner Beeson. His wife of 68 years, Doris Lesher Beeson, survives. He is also survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Patty Taynor of Troy, Phyllis Raymond Bair of Troy; one son and daughter-in-law: Ed Claudia Beeson of Findlay, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Jenny Robert Sharp of Troy, Cheryl Phil Greenlee of Bidwell, Ohio, Anita Doug Csikos of Troy, David Annette Bair of Troy, Mark Stacey Bair of Lewisburg, Ryan Beeson of Findlay, Ohio, Andrie Ryan Grooms of Holland, Ohio and Kelsey Brad Heitkamp of VanBuren, Ohio; seventeen great-grandchildren and special family friend, Kay Amrhein. In addition to his parents, Mr. Beeson was preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice Iro Beeson and Lillie Madaline Earhart and one son-in-law, Herb Taynor. Mr. Beeson was a 1939 graduate of Tippecanoe Schools. He was a Sunday School teacher, youth advisor, and choir member with the Nashville Congregational Christian Church and the Cove Spring Church. He was a member of Cove Spring Grange where he served in the kitchen at the fair for many years. This last year, he served in the Grange Fair Kitchen with four generations of his family. He was a long-time 4-H advisor and a charter member of the Board of Directors for Indian Hills 4-H Camp. He was a member of the Miami County Jersey Breeders and an exhibitor at the Miami County Fair. He was a host for educational tours for 20 years and also hosted exchange students from Finland, Japan and Argentina. Mr. Beeson was a Miami County Farmer and a former Miami East School Bus Driver. He was formerly employed by the Troy Sunshade Co. and Zile Implements and retired from Stull Implements. Funeral services will by held at 2:00PM Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastors Evan Garber and Ed Beeson officiating. Interment will take place at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio. Grange service will follow visitation. Friends may call from 2-4PM and 5-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
