Wanda P. Malmsbury, 73, died at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio on Sunday, November 23, 2003. She is survived by son: Michael Anthony Malsbury and Fiance, Raven Ferdin of Zanesville, Ohio; stepdaughter and son-in-law: Marcia and Rev. Dr. James T. Grooms of Athens, Ohio; Brothers: Miles Hamilton of Naples, FL, Carl Hamilton of Valigo, CA, John Hamilton of Dayton, OH: Sisters: Annabel Osgood of Delrio, Texas and Hazel Gerrish of Hickory, NC: Garndson, Michael II and Jordan Malmsbury of Canton, OH;; Step granddaughter: Sherri Smith of Athens, Ohio; Step great grandchildren: Alexis and Nicholas Smith of Athens, Ohio and her adopted grandchildren, Dallas, Havannah and Carmella of Zenesville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcellus Malmsbury in 1979; her parents, Mills and Ruth Turner Hamilton, two brothers, Edgar and Paul Hamilton and longtime companion, Richard Brush. Mrs. Malmsbury was a member of Living Word Fellowship. She formerly worked at Dettmer Hospital In Troy, St. Elizabeth and Good Samaritan Hospitals in Dayton as a nurse's aid. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00PM at Barid Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio on Monday, December 1, 2003 with a service at the funeral home at 2:00 on December 1, 2003, officiated by Rev. Dr. James T. Grooms and eulogy by Rev. Phyllis Welbaum. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the college fund for Michael II and Jordan Malmsbury.
