Wanda N. Hackett Wanda N. Hackett, age 76, of Troy, OH died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Covington Care Center, Covington, OH. She was born February 1, 1931 in Nashville, OH to the late Samuel and Charlene Young Burnside. She was married to Melvin D. Hackett who preceded her in death on June 12, 2006. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. and Karen Hackett of Troy; daughters and son-in-law, Bev Frank of Troy and Brenda and Cevin Wagner of Troy. She is also survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Irene Jane Miller of Vandalia, Donna and Robert Boze of Troy, and Twylah Hail of Centerville, brother, Carrol Burnside, grandchildren, Rodney Frank, Brittany and Rachel Wagner, and Robert Hackett. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Hackett was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonita Sue Hackett; brothers, Clifford, Delbert, and Bernard Burnside, and infant sister, Beatrice. She attended the Milton Union Schools, West Milton, OH. Mrs. Hackett was a member of the Troy View Church of God and former Deaconess and Sunday School Teacher. In 2005, she and her husband were named the Troy Strawberry Festival Golden Couple. She provided care for many children, including her own children and grandchildren who she loved dearly. She also enjoyed attending garage sales. Funeral service will be held 10:30AM Monday, November 12, 2007 at the Troy View Church of God with Pastor Steve Zimbelman officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH. Friends may call at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH from 3-6PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Troy View Church of God Building Fund or Hospice of Miami County.
