Obituary

Walter F. Ford Walter F. Ford, age 84, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away at 2:28PM on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at his residence. He was born June 1, 1924 in Waverly, Ohio, to the late Calvin and Olga L. Starky Ford. His wife of 63 years, Kathleen Eggers Ford, survives. Other survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Janet and Larry Tipton of Vandalia, Ohio and Joyce Furlong of Bellefontaine, Ohio; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Waltin and Linda Ford and Mark Ford all of Tipp City, Ohio; one sister, Delores Jividen of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Chelsea and Tim Bodnarik, Danielle and Jamey Collins, Colby and Erika Furlong, Angelique and Chris Tucker, Jessica and Dan Baisden, Megan and Todd Shortridge, Tara Tipton, Rachel Ford and Jeremiah Ford; and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ford was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. He was a WWII US Veteran of the 8th Air Force and a member of the Troy Fish and Game. He was an avid Nascar fan and liked Reds Baseball and following his grandchildren's activities. Mr. Ford retired in 1992 from Delco Products of General Motors after 43 years of service. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church, 110 W. Franklin Street, Troy, Ohio with Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II officiating. Interment will take place following the service with Veteran's Honor Guard services at the graveside. Friends may call from 11:00AM-12:00PM Wednesday at the church.
