Walter V. Boyd, 79, of West Milton, Ohio passed out of this life on Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio after a sudden illness. He was born on March 16, 1924 in Miami County, Ohio to the late George and Lela Emerick Boyd. Along with his parents preceding his in death was a sister, Norma Jean Schremmer. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virginia M. Hinkle Boyd. Also surviving are two children; Ron L. and Patricia Boyd; and Bonnie J. and Larry Scott of Tipp City, Ohio. One brother, Russell Boyd of Hot Springs, Arkansas and three sisters, Katherine Clark of Conover, Ohio; Lois Boyd and Nancy Landers both of Hot Springs, Arkansas also survive. He has four grandchildren. Was a member of Jehovahs' Witness since 1995. He graduated in 1942 from Lena Conover School. He retired in 1978 as Operating Engineer at Earl D. Creager Construction after 29 years of service. Visitation will be Sunday, March 7, 2004 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3967 Washington Road, Covington, Ohio 45318 from 5-6PM. The funeral service will be held at Kingdom Hall on Sunday, March 7, 2004 at 6:00PM. Stephen Pulsipher will be handling the service.
