Vivian M. McNamee, age 73 of Troy, Ohio died Sunday, December 21, 2003 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. She was born April 4, 1930 in Dayton, OH to the late Felix and Frances Monnin Goubeaux. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William F. McNamee whom she married May 22, 1954 at St. John's Catholic Church, Tipp City by Rev. Clement Goubeaux; also surviving are six children, Deb and her husband, Mark Didier of Versailles, OH; Michael and his wife, Becky McNamee of Crittenden, KY; Chris and his wife, Lynn McNamee of Kohler, WI; Suzanne and her husband, Kent Roush of Germantown, OH; Kathleen and her husband, Michael Howe of Kettering, OH and Patrick and his wife, Margo McNamee of Fishers, IN. One sister, Shirley and her husband, Robert Snapp of Troy, OH; thirteen grandchildren, Sarah Didier; Laura Longmire; Adam Didier; Tyler McNamee; Danielle McNamee; Leah McNamee; Shannon McNamee; Dean McNamee; Jessica Peeples; Brittany Peeples; Brandon Peeples; Kateri Howe and Courtney Howe; one great- granddaughter, Larissa Katlyn. She is preceded in death by one infant son; brother, James Goubeaux and sister, Nancy Roth. Mrs. McNamee was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, OH where she was a volunteer religious education secretary. She also volunteered with Upper Valley Medical Center Auxiliary in the gift shop; the election polls and the Corner Cupboard in Dayton. She attended Holy Rosary School and was a 1948 graduate of Tipp City High School where she was salutatorian of her class. She formerly worked with AO Smith Credit Union and the Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
