Virginia D. Phillips, age 91 of Troy, Ohio died peacefully in her sleep at 3:40pm on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy, OH. She was born October 7, 1913 in New Market, Virginia to the late, Otis E. Phillips and Nina E. Huffman Phillips. She is survived by her brother, William Phillips of Troy, OH; brother-in-law, Ed Hart of Tuscon, AZ; special friends, Jean Roeth and Margaret Laughman of Troy, OH; nieces and nephews, Melvyn and Marilyn Roeth; Ken Roeth; Ed Smith; Keith and Colleen Roeth; Liz and Tom Kmiecinski; Scott and Jamie Phillips; Jeanette Hart; Ron and Sue Hart; Karon and John Ford and Beverley and Richard Sidabras; 25 great- nieces and nephews and 26 great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Herb Roeth; Ruth and Roscoe Roeth; Eileen Hart; brother, Elwood Phillips; sister-in-law, Phyllis Phillips; niece, Connie Smith and nephew, Bruce Hart. A lifetime member of the Lostcreek United Church of Christ, she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society. She was a charter member of the Staunton Grange. She attended Lostcreek schools and graduated in 1932 from Staunton Schools. She has been a wonderful sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
