Virginia I. Burns, 83, of Piqua, Ohio and formerly of Troy, Ohio past out of this life on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at the Piqua Manor after an extended illness. She was born October 31, 1921 in Miami County, Ohio to the late Roy and Mary Young Brown. She married James E. Burns, Sr., and he precedes her in death. Also preceding her in death are her step-mother, Susie Griffith Brown; 5 brothers; 1 sister; 1 daughter, Virginia May Fyffe and 4 grandchildren. She is survived by her 6 children, James E. Burns, Jr. of Troy, Ohio; Jerry E. Brown of Troy, Ohio; Michael H. Burns of Piqua, Ohio; Orest A. Andy Burns of Huntsville, Texas; Barbara Crabtree of Troy, Ohio and Mary A. Smith of Piqua, Ohio. She has 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
