Virgil "Dean" Fine, age 67, of Troy, OH passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 7:55PM at his home under the care of Hospice of Miami County. He was born on March 23, 1948 in Darke County, OH to the late Virgil Don Fine and Wavelyn Opal (Henninger) Fine Minnich.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Beverly R. (Trappe) Fine; three stepchildren: Sheldon (Tracy) Clutter of Galloway; Rhonda Clutter of Vandalia and Christa Clutter of San Antonio, TX; sister: Ann (Joe) Miller of Tipp City; four grandchildren: Sean and Brittany Clutter and Seth and Dustin Pace and many nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Donna Westfall, Sandy Bryant and Peggy Fannin and his former wife, Kathy Wade Fine.

Dean was a 1966 graduate of Troy High School. He served in the US Navy for four years with the Seabees; two tours of duty in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart medal. He was a member of the VFW and the AmVets Post in Troy. Dean enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing and had a great love for animals. Dean was an employee with Earhart Petroleum in Troy for 10 years and Blue Flame Gas Company in West Union for 20 years.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
