Vernon William "Bill" Adkins, age 91, of Troy, OH passed away on June 24, 2025 at his residence. He was born on July 6, 1933 in Oklahoma to the late Robert Earnest and Kate (Felty) Adkins.

Bill is survived by one sister: L. Jean Franz; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Cherie Lee (McShane) Adkins; and five siblings: Ernestine Schmelzl, Curtis Adkins, Kathleen Clay, Drexel Adkins and Marie Kemper.

Bill proudly served his country as a Corporal in the US Army from 1953-1955. He was an entrepreneur, owning and operating an antiques and jewelry shop for many years, and he manufactured dentures and dental pieces.  Bill loved to fish and he played competitive tennis well into his senior years.  Bill was active with and supported the Miami County Park District and the Piqua City School District.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on July 12, 2025 at Riverside Cemetery Chapel in Troy, OH. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00AM at the Chapel.
