Veda was born February 23, 1921 in the city of Overton, TN. She peacefully slipped into the presence of The Lord on August 14, 2002 at SpringMeade Retirement Community. She loved and worshiped The Lord for many years. She was a member of the Troy Baptist Temple and acquired many precious friends and neighbors through the ministry of her church. She attended school in Tennessee in her early years and began studying and learning with all her children as they started school. She was a devoted and dedicated mother and grandmother to her family; always putting her family and God foremost in her life. Veda and Vestle Red Sewell were married on July 19, 1941 in Covington, KY. Vestle preceded her in death in May 1990. She also was preceded in death by her father and mother, Beecher and Emma Mae Clouse; brothers, Harold Loyd, Cecil Obie and Nolan; sisters, Martha Loyd, Eva Rae, Helen and Patsy. She is survived by her children, Veronica Bill Miller, Cheryl Jim Rogers Weber, Caron Derr, Gary Marilyn Sewell, Rodney Carol Sewell and Genoa Alex Lobeto. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Robin Gates, Brian Dickerson, Tami Neal, Scott Gates, Holly Emrick, Shanda Obringer, Jack Derr, Jeremy Derr, Jeff Sewell, Tony Sewell and Mandy Lobeto and all 17 of her sweet great-grandchildren; brothers, Maurice Clouse and Stanley Clouse; sisters, Carol Eads; Jean Hall and JoAnn Carrera and many caring nieces and nephews.
