Vance Micheal Downing, age 33, of Arcata, CA; formerly of Troy, OH passed away on August 11, 2022.  He was born April 2, 1989 in Dayton, OH to Micheal Downing of Troy and the late Melissa (Smith) Downing.

Vance is survived by his sisters: Brandie (Shaeffer) Boos of Tampa, FL, Tabbitha (Shaeffer) Haney of Troy and Lisa Buysman of Troy; niece: Juliet Boos of Gainesville, FL; nephew: Kaiden Barga of Troy; aunts and uncles: Cassy Crotinger (Jamie) of Troy; Kim Behrens of Troy; Jay Downing of Troy; grandmother: Iline Emerick and cousins: Kaylee, Max, Rachel, Jessica and Dano.

Vance was a 2007 graduate of Troy High School.  He was a local musician and played drums for "From Silence to Violence".

Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
