V. Yvonne Stevens, age 59, of Casstown, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 16, 2010. She was born October 19, 1950 in St. Charles, Kentucky to the late Jasper and Nevelyn Lamb Poe. She is survived by her husband of 41-plus years, Mark W. Stevens. Yvonne is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sara and Joseph Sampley of Chicago, Illinois and Amanda and Philip Starry of Casstown; brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Wanda Poe of Arkansas; sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Willie VanVactor of Alabama; grandsons, John and Silas Starry; mother-in-law, Edythe Miller Stevens of Casstown; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Allen and Becky Turanski of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Yvonne is a member of the First Baptist Church, Troy where she has served as a youth advisor for the past 36 years. She was a self-employed seamstress. Memorial service will be held 4:00PM Monday, July 19, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, Troy with the Pastors Dale Christian, Doug Magin, and Kevin Kinnett officiating. Interment to be held in Casstown Cemetery. Family will greet friends following the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Deacons fund.
