Tony Lee Mitchell, age 58, of Christiansburg, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 3, 2024 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit after fighting hard for 2 years with Glioblastoma Stage 4 Brain Cancer. He was born on August 30, 1965 in Troy, OH to the late Virgil and Ruth (Allen) Mitchell.

Tony is survived by his wife of 32 years: Melissa (Williams) Mitchell of Christiansburg; daughters: Ali (Jeff) Good of Enon and Heather (Christopher) Goins of Troy; brother: Philip (Shannon) Mitchell of Trotwood; sisters-in-law: Gloria Mitchell of DeGraff and Christine (David) Price of Piqua; grandchildren: Clyde Thompson, Jr., Dylan Cross, Haley Thompson, and Emelia, Waylon, and Parker Goins; great grandchildren: Greyson and Elijah Thompson; mother-in-law: Phyllis Iddings of New Carlisle; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Fred (Bonnie) Williams of Ned, KY; many nieces and nephews; several cousins; life-long friend: Wes Dent of Roswell, NM; and many other great friends. In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his brother: Ronald Mitchell; and brother-in-law: Chuck Williams.

Tony was a 1984 graduate of Graham High School. He also graduated from Gateway Community College in Phoenix, AZ specializing in Electrical trade. Tony worked for Wilson Electric in Arizona for several years before moving back to Ohio and working for the Village of Christiansburg Water and Sewer Maintenance and Roost Realty in Springfield in maintenance. He was a member of Full Gospel Church in Christiansburg. Tony loved to camp, fish, hunt, travel, and spend time with his family.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor Matt Harbour officiating. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the funeral home.
