THORNBURY, Timothy Roland, age 65 of Troy, passed away from cancer on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Tim was born November 6, 1953 in Harveysburg, OH.  He graduated from Middletown H.S. class of 1972 and attended The Ohio State University.  Tim was a Master Carpenter and owned his own home building and remodeling business before going to work for Meijer and retiring in 2010.  He was a devoted family man, member of the Friends of the Air Force Museum Foundation and enjoyed military history from the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam War.  Tim was preceded in death by his father, James Thornbury; mother Wilma (Bill) Warman, nee Welch; brother Tom Thornbury; sister Bonnie Richey; and close friend Brad Taylor.  Tim is survived by wife Diane, nee Sims; son Andrew (Erika) of Tipp City, OH; daughter Jennifer (Greg) of Troy, OH; adoring grandchildren Ava, Lorelei, Roslyn, and Esmae; sisters Pam (Dennis) Wehby and Melody (Roger) Hubley; sister-in-law Angie; brother-in-law Steve; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Visitation will be held at Baird Funeral Home, 555 North Market Street, Troy, Ohio 45373 on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 5:30-7:30PM, with service at 7:30PM.  A private graveside service and interment will be held later at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City, OH.  Tim and the family wish to sincerely thank Hospice for their wonderful care and support given.  Tim will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tim's honor to ALS research and Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
