Timothy Joseph Ruffin, age 81, of Troy, OH passed away on October 7, 2025 at Kettering Health Dayton. He was born on January 31, 1944 in Troy to the late Ralph and Pauline (Conrad) Ruffin.

He is survived by his siblings: Thomas Ruffin of Carmel, IN, Mary Ann Chaney of Troy and Michael (Mary O'Connor) Ruffin of Troy; nieces and nephews: David Ruffin, Holly (Tom) Myers, Laura (Brett Bogan) Chaney, Suzanne Chaney, Jonathan Chaney, Sean Ruffin, Ben (Alison) Ruffin, Patrick Ruffin and Alex Ruffin; great nieces and great nephews: Zachary Ruffin, Adrian Bogan, Lliam,  Miles and Addiline Ruffin, Charlie and Sam Ruffin; his dearly loved cats: Clayman and Willow and his special granddaughters who lived next door.

Tim was a 1962 graduate of Troy High School. He served in the Air National Guard for six years in the firefighter's unit. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. He retired from General Motors after many years of service. He was an avid UD basketball fan.  He loved animals and supported numerous animal causes.  In addition to his beloved cats, he had a number of dogs over the years with Airedales being his favorite breed.  He was involved with Airedale Rescue.

A prayer service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Baird Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter.
