Obituary

Timothy A. Johnson, age 61, of Troy, OH, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. He was born in Troy on March 26, 1961 to the late David Johnson and Patricia (Plantz) Clutter.

Tim is survived by his two children: Dustin Johnson of California and Courtney Johnson of Utah; sister, Tricia Studebaker of Troy, and mother, Patricia (Plantz) Clutter of Piqua.

Tim was a 1980 graduate of Troy High School and attended Ohio University and California University. He majored in Furniture Design as well as making and restoring antique furniture. After the 1994 California Earthquake, Tim restored people's damaged antique furniture. He took pride in being able to restore their precious antiques for them.

Tim was a gifted pianist and musician, blessing listeners on every piano he touched from Piqua and Troy to Death Valley, California and beyond. He had a zeal for adventure. He lived a uniquely abstract life on his own terms. Tim enjoyed hiking, loved the outdoors and nature, camping, boating, cook-outs, reading, and most of all, spending time with his family.

He gave in death, as he gave in life in his last selfless act on Earth - he donated his body to medical research.
