Thelma Pauline York, 85, of Troy, Ohio and formerly of Greenville, Ohio passed out of this life on Friday, May 21, 2004 at the Dayton VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. She was born on July 14, 1918 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Welcome Melvin and Myrtle BrownSeman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodger Dale York in 1956. Also preceding her in death, a very loving step father, David J. Cruze. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Rogenia and Pat Vandivier of Troy, Ohio; Sister, Mary Frazier of Greenville, Ohio; Brother, Lloyd Seman of Greenville, Ohio. She has two granchildren, Gina Ziesemer of Pleasant Hill, Ohio and Jessica Hughes of Troy, Ohio. She has four great granchildren, Zachary, Kaleb, Shaleyn, and Chandler. She was affiliated with the Troy Apostolic Temple; LIFETIME MEMBER OF: American Legion post #140 in Greenville, Ohio; AMVETS Post #72 in Piqua, Ohio where she served as past commander and Troy AMVETS; Loyal Order of the Women of the Moose chapter 102 in Greenville; Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles of Greenville; VFW #7262 in Greenville where she served as past commander and was a WWII veteran of the US Army where she served as secretary to General MacArther. She was former owner and operator of Babin-Bait and Trucking and had owned Montauk Seafood Restaurant. The Pastor Richard Workman will be officiating the service with burial in Greenville Cemetery. Military honors will be held at the cemetery.
