Thelma K. Russell, 76, of Troy, Ohio died Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 4:35AM at her residence surrounded by her children. She was born September, 13, 1927 in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Martha Swartz Packman. She is survived by her children, William Sandy of Shelby, OH; Robert Joann; Carla Manimtim Tim of Toledo, OH; and Darla Compton; one sister, Juanita Lewis Birman; sister-in-law, Edna Packman; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Robert E. Russell; son, Earl Allen Russell; grandson, Jason R. King; brothers, Cliff and Churck Packman and her sister, Clara Frock preceded her in death. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Troy, Ohio and a former member of the Redman's Lodge. She was formerly a housekeeper with Best Western in Piqua, Ohio. Services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2004 at 1:00PM at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Al Bastin officiating. Friends may call from 11:00AM-1:00PM Monday at the funeral Home.
