IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terrance Michael
Randolph
December 1, 1962 – December 1, 2024
Terrance Michael Randolph, age 62, of Greenville, Ohio was embraced by the arms of Jesus on his birthday, December 1, 2024, at Hospice of Miami County. He was born on December 1, 1962, in Middle Township, New Jersey, to Doris Logan and the late Henry Lee Logan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter: Elizabeth Randolph; uncles: John Logan and Charles Mason; cousin: Vernon Logan, extended family and special friends that turned into family. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Lee Logan.
Terrance loved the creative arts and the people he met in his endeavors. He was a tremendous dancer and toured around with his dance crew. He once rented a theater and held a Michael Jackson contest. This would later serve him well many years later as a church choir sang "Man in the Mirror", and he stepped out in front of the choir, and he led the chorus with his enthusiasm. He was a published poet and loved sharing his latest writings with family and friends. He was also a joyful free spirit and a comedian, always loving laughter. Whether he was dancing, working his daily occupations or serving, he marched on his own determined path.
Most of all Terrance loved Jesus. He attended bible studies, house church and life groups. He served in the children ministry and eventually moved to the older kids. He could be seen dancing with them at the Avenue or offering support when needed. He also served on the praise and worship team, went to annual conferences and went on mission to a youth center in Youngstown, OH. There he told his testimony. Being that the lead was unplanned, he relied on God to give him the words to say. His light was ever shining. He attended Ginghamsburg Church in Tipp City for many years and recently attended Troy First UMC. He also made sure to feed his spirit where the Lord would lead him through friends, family and chaplains.
In the last few years, his health began to change, and years of an unnamed condition made him hold onto that mustard seed as tight as he could. Many answers came confirming a diagnosis of one thing and then having to start over many times because that was just one piece of the puzzle. During this time, he began to surrender more of his life to God. He began to write to the Lord, study his word more, and talking with his friends more about Jesus.
Earlier this year he was diagnosed with cancer, but that didn't stop him from pursing people. While he was tired from treatments and in and out of the hospital from complications, he became the favorite patient at the hospital and nursing home rehab center. He would make playlists for the nurses, talk with the chaplains, cut up with laughter when friends would come to visit and have heart to hearts as we sat by his bedside. All of that is a testament once his final weeks came. As we waited, there was an abundance of nurses, doctors and chaplains at the hospital who came to call upon him and share stories.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Troy First UMC 110 W Franklin St Troy, OH on Saturday, Dec 21, 2024, at 11am. Doors will open at 10:30am.
